Earlier this week our friend and brand ambassador, Natalie Coughlin starred in a swim tips video soon to be featured on the Active network, H2O Audio site and other online swimming sites. The video, which was shot at the San Dieguito Boys & Girls Club in Solana Beach features Natalie swimming with the Interval (a modified version of her original signature product the iSH2), set to release in mid January. After the video shoot Natalie spoke briefly in front of about 150 kids from the Boys & Girls Club swim team as she passed around her Olympic medals. During warm ups for the holiday swim meet she autographed photos, books, swim caps and other memorabilia for excited families.

The 2008 Golden Goggle Awards were held in New York City last night, November 17th.  Our girl Natalie Coughlin took home the female athlete of the year award for her efforts at the Beijing Olympics and Michael Phelps garnered a total of 3 Golden Goggles including one for best commercial.  Actually they were for male athlete of the year, male race and relay performance of the year.  Congratulations to all of last night’s award winners.

The 15th annual AeA High Tech Awards were held in La Jolla, California yesterday. San Diego AeA Council’s Annual networking event brought over 500 technology executives together to celebrate the achievements of tech companies in the greater San Diego area. Yours truly attended the Halloween-themed luncheon along with 9 other members of the H2O Audio office staff and we were all pleasantly surprised to be awarded the Winners of the Computers and Related Products category.

Other tech categories included Software, Communication Products and Services, Internet and Web Commerce, Medical Device and Instrumentation,  Clean Technology, Tech/IT Services, Outstanding Emerging Growth Company (Under $5 million annual revenue), and Semiconductors, Industrial & Analytical Institutions.

Congratulations to all the award winners – looking forward to next year!

Congratulations are in order for H2O Audio team rider Chuck Patterson for his victory at the Rainbow Sandals 2008 Gerry Lopez “Battle Of The Paddle!”  Chuck took home $10k which he will invest in the first of a fleet of lunch mobiles.  Look for a “Chuck Wagon” near you soon.

Natalie Coughlin does it again!  Our favorite Olympian came back from Beijing with a myriad of medals and a new title, the most decorated female swimmer in Olympic history.  In other news Natalie also captured the H2O Audio office pool Gold medal for the most attractive Olympian, narrowly edging out Maria Sharapova in the final rounds of the swim cap and goggle competition.
