2009 Ironman Oceanside Triathlon 70.3

Events No Comments

Another successful Oceanside Ironman 70.3 for H2O Audio.  The sun was a no show on Thursday but Friday more than made up for it and thankfully it stayed beautiful all the way through the gun on race day morning.  All the usual suspects were there from last years Ironman Expo except for a disappointing no show from the vitamin energy supplement guy, which was probably a good thing considering we turned orange from an overdose last year.

Congratulations to the winners.  Matthew Reed took first place in the Men’s division with a time of 3:51.50 and Mirinda Carfrae lead the way for the Woman with a time of 4:25:02

U.S. Open of Surfing

Events No Comments

As the sweet smell of vile energy drinks and floral scented body lotion permeate the air it could only mean one thing, the annual U.S. Open of Surfing in Huntington Beach approaches. If you attended last year you may have stumbled on my colleague and I huddled beneath the shadow of the grom infested Lost tent. This year we plan on kicking it up a notch. I’m not going to divulge any secrets at this point but you should definitely put our tent on the must see list. Having said that I’d like to offer a slight disclaimer and say if you are disappointed in any way by the activities at our booth it’s Harold’s fault.

Oceanside Triathlon 70.3

If you went to the Oceanside Triathlon expo on March 27 and 28 and didn’t stop by the H2O audio booth, no troubles bubbles there’s always the NYC Triathlon in July.

The Tri Expo was a success. Professional triathlete / team rider Mac Brown stopped by the booth to say hello, we had people demoing product in the portable endless pool, a dude walked by in a zebra speedo, and we overdosed on vitamin supplements. Interesting weekend.
