In honor of the Laird special deal at H2OAudio.com we bring you this blast from Laird’s past….
H2O Audio’s own Michael Phelps competed in Paris over the weekend. Although he won two out of the four events he entered, he as quoted as saying he was “furious” over his poor performance in the 200m and 100m freestyle. About coming in 6th in the 100m freestyle Phelps said, “I’m disappointed but I know as well that it’s my fault. I didn’t train exactly when I should have. We see the result this weekend. I hoped to be faster this weekend. There are a lot of things which could have been better.” Michael is not discouraged however, and said he will use his anger over this performance as a motivator.
Also, recently posted to waterman Laird Hamilton’s site, more video footage from his trip to the gulf coast. He and Gabby saw first hand the damage the oil spill has caused, and discusses the impact it’s had on marine life.
With spring right around the corner, the Team H2O Audio SUPers have been grabbing the tail end of winter swells and enjoying the sunshine….
Laird Hamilton and friends always make Stand Up Paddling look so effortless, easily throwing in 360’s, but this point of view video not only shows their cool tricks, but also how fast the waves really move.

Tuesday’s the day we check in on Team H2O Audio. We’ve got so many great athletes we don’t have room to talk about everyone every week, but here are some highlights:
Michael Phelps and Natalie Coughlin were both named World Swimmers of the Decade for 2000-2009 by USA Swimming. And they were more than just a part of the list, they were both ranked #1 for mens and womens swimming, respectively.
In more Natalie news, Dancing with the Stars is over and Ms. Coughlin is back in the pool. She’s also continuing to speak on nutrition in sports and emphasized how it’s portions, not type of food that changes as she gets back to training.
Laird Hamilton is recovering from a minor shoulder injury, but should be feeling better just in time for more big swell in Hawaii.
And, Stand Up Paddler Chuck Patterson flew to the east coast for the 2nd annual Cold Strokes Classic and is still stoked about all the El Nino swell he has to choose from.
