  1. Drift Diving heavan Review by DriftDiver
    Overall Rating

i used this recently during drift diving in Cozumal with the space music of Ambeam (alone in the universe) and Michael Sterns it was just an amazing amazing experience. this product is something truely extraordinary. it is incredible quality of engineering and genius idea to bring the music underwater; and to 180feet!!

it is a bit buoyant but i tucked it inside my BC pocket while using a stretchy landyard, and was was perfect. i also removed the speaker clips, and tucked the speakers between my mask strap on the left and right temples of my head. The best I can explain is that it causes the sound to be in 3-D within my head. I used the EQ on the ipod to adjust to my preference. perfect for the long-dec stops. then i turned the music off during the ascent and had great safe dives.

great job h2oaudio! you got me hooked. (Posted on 7/11/11)

  2. Excellent product - but watch out for Apple's iTouch upgrades Review by Andy P
    Overall Rating

I love my iDive300 - it makes the long decos much more tolerable. You can store lots of movies on an iTouch and watching them makes the time fly by. This is one of the most satisfying pieces of dive gear I have ever bought.

A word of warning - Apple just upgraded the OS in the iTouch to v4.x. The previous v3 worked perfectly with the iDive300, but since I upgraded my iTouch the Mode button doesn't work. It means you can still watch movies or listen to music, but not both on the same dive. You have to make sure the iTouch is in the mode you want before you close the case.

Hopefully H2O Audio can update the firmware in the iDive300 to fix this. Please?

  3. Amazing Review by Adam W
    Overall Rating

I first used the iDive in a pool to test it out and fell in love. It has been with me on every dive since then. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is that it is positively bouyant. I recommend this for everyone who does diving, technical or recreational. (Posted on 7/29/10)

  4. Wouldn't dive without it Review by Pete M.
    Overall Rating

A Course Director, Technical Diving Instructor, deep wreck exploration diver & still photographer for National Geographic.

I am a technical diver and stills photographer, spending my time exploring deep wrecks and documenting them. I had been seriously thinking of knocking all this on the head simply because the decompression hang time was getting too much for me. On average we would spend 5-7 hours hanging, decompressing in the open ocean after a long bottom time on a deep wreck.

On a recent National Geographic Expedition to the HMHS BRITANNIC where I was brought in to photograph the sister ship to the Titanic. Lying in 120m of water I knew that the hang times were going to be significant so I purchased an H2O Audio iD300. Diving on rebreathers with bottom times of 60 minutes gave me over 7.5 hours of decompression. Without my H2O Audio I would have gone insane! Just listening to endless hours of music that fits the mood shaves so much time in the water.

I have over $100,000.00 worth of diving gear, camera equipment, computers, you name it - the most important piece in my kit - MY H2O AUDIO iD300!!!!! I wouldn't dive without it! (Posted on 4/6/10)
