love these headphones! i have really weird ear holes so most ear-buds don't fit my ear but these come with multiple size ear buds to get just the right fit. while freestyle kayaking i am upside down in currents and rapids quite a bit and these stayed in my ear every time. the wrap is flexible and comfortable, fitting perfectly behind my helmet. the quality is excellent too and does not diminish but actually improves once under water. i will recommend these to anyone looking for headphones to paddle with. there is nothing better than going on the river to surf some waves listening to your favorite tunes and not have to worry about your headphones falling off or bad quality sound. these are by far my favorite headphones!. h20 audio rocks! I use these for swimming about two times a week and walking a few additional days past that with my Amphibx armband. I've unfortunately gone through two sets of headphones, so I'm not very impressed. :( The first pair broke at one of the earbuds after a few months, the replacement pair just broke about 2 weeks ago (4 months owned) with a wire break between the wrap and the plug. :( Given I've gone through two in less than a year, so I can't endorse the manufacturing quality. However, great sound, and if they worked properly I'd give them high marks in a second. Perhaps I've been unlucky, but buyer beware. I would suggest if you are buying them for swimming, you might want to forgo the wrap and just get the straight headphones, then get the extension belt so you can put it on your back and minimize cable movement - that's my next step. Either way, be sure to register to get the full 2 year warranty. One thing to note, though - H2O Audio has been very gracious in replacing the headphones, and I have no complaints with their service.

We do usually recommend the Surge without the wrap for swimming, this product was designed more for surfing, wakeboarding and high impact sports, however it does come down to personal preference and fit. Does anyone know if the neckband is removable? If not, is it adjustable? I've tried sportwrap-style headphones before without any luck.

The sportwrap on these is not removable however it is very flexible. But everyone is different so if they turn out to not work for you, return them within 30 days and try the regular Surge Waterproof Headphones which are the same headphones just without a sportwrap. I just got these new headphones and absolutely love them. They come with different size ear buds so they fit my ear perfectly and stayed in all the time. The sound quality on these are completely amazing. I use these while I surf and wakeboard, and no matter how much I put these headphones through, they always hold up. The sportswrap are my go to headphone when I'm running. I tried using earbuds for a long time but as I would start sweating they would just slide out. Wrap around headphones were suggested by a friend and I came across H2O. Picked up a pair of these and I'm so glad I did. They stay in perfectly, sound great, and are really comfortable even after a few hours. Highly recommend them! (Posted on 4/6/10)
